With efficient classroom management where each student is valued, appreciated and used as a tool to learning, teachers design learning opportunities for students to participate in empowering activities with 21st-century learning skills, required to face future challenges.
Learner based pedagogy with experiential learning the school assures active participation of every child in learning process with greater understanding and retention of concepts.
Theme Based Programme
We feel theme-based learning is the best way of educating a child. It giving unlimited variety of real life talking points of complexity, breadth and depth is far greater than traditional learning which restricts the learning.
Theme based learning is much fun for children as children learn because they want to learn, not because they have to learn. Our smarties always quest to learn which is unquestionably supercilious.
Project Based Investigation
We believe that a child thrives in a relatively unstructured and self-directed environment. It is designed in such a way that allows our toddlers learn independently through exploration and experimentation with a healthy measure of cooperation and participation. Their opinions, ideas are valued and respected by others and they too value others’ opinions and ideas. Student will learn greetings in French + German under the project ‘Explore the world’.
Multiple Intelligence Programme
Linguistic
Linguistic is critical part of child development. It supports their ability to communicate, express and understand feelings. We focus on the four main stages of language acquisition. The first one is babbling stage, one-word stage, the two word stage and the telegraphic stage. We focus on fun activities to encourage our toddlers’ language skills. Our educators engage themselves and encourage conversations by commenting on what the child is doing and wait for their response, repeat what the child says then add a little bit more or a new vocabulary word and get along with them.
Logical/ Mathematical
Logical –Mathematical learning is done through reasoning. With this learning way our toddlers learn to reason, solve problems, learn using numbers. We have structured goal-oriented activities that are based on math reasoning and logic. Under the guidance of our felicitators, they enjoy and recognize patterns easily, learn and work well with numbers.
Spatial
Spatial skills are very crucial in a child development. Our educators help our toddlers’ reason about shapes, angles and distances. They engage them in active and physical exploration, provide them with tools for building structures, introduce construction games that challenge kids to match the design, etc. This allows them to locate object and navigate successfully in their environments.
Kinesthetic
Here at JBM Smart Start, we focus on kinesthetic learning. Our smarties absorb information by doing, rather than seeing or listening. Our mind thrives only when we are physically involved such as experimenting hands on solving or discovering. We give opportunities to our little ones to think outside of normal classroom. They are able to grasp quickly through trial and error. Our educators use different teaching strategies such as use of charts, presentations, incorporate games and physical activity, create their own vocabulary matching games, etc. Our kinesthetic learners learn best by coordinating, exploring and by doing.
Musical
We feel toddlers cannot express themselves fluently either through speech or writing instead, they express themselves through movement and sound. We at JBM Smart Start let our Smarties enjoy through rhythm and melodies which synchronize their mind and body together. These music activities such as tickling, wiggling, bouncing and finger playing engage their aural and physical being. Not only this, these activities develop their elementary skills including intellectual, social, emotional, Motor and language.
Interpersonal
Interpersonal skills are the foundations of a child’s personality. We focus upon seven interpersonal skills which are quintessential for a successful life. These skills include verbal communication, Nonverbal communication, Listening, Negotiation, Problem solving, decision making and assertiveness.
We observe what he/ she is into, facial expressions, eye contact, body language, how actively a child listens and responds to verbal and non-verbal messages, how a child settles differences with others through compromise and agreement, use logical and creative skills to pinpoint a problem, search for possible options and select the best solution, making choices and above all how he stands up for himself considering the feelings, wants and needs of others.
